I write contemporary-classical pieces for piano. My compositions are inspired by the people, circumstances and the natural world around me. I like to compose based on a storyline (but sometimes the music wants to go in another direction). With training in classical music and dance, the interplay between music and other kinds of performance art is often at the back of my mind as I write.
At the same time, I also write what I need to feel, hear and play. My greatest joy comes from seeing my children moving and improvising to my music. It is wonderful if others can also enjoy it or find encouragement from it.
In my free time I enjoy juggling, gardening and writing about serious and not-so-serious topics. My favorite stories are told by "old souls". My favorite music is nature (...except for robins and woodpeckers).
